Ambassadors

Ambassadors are members of the LGBTI+ community, or strong allies, using their platform to help us raise awareness of Copenhagen 2021. Watch this space grow with even more inspiring people from the world of sport, human rights, and arts and culture!

Jon Lee-Olsen
He/him/his

Jon Lee-Olsen has been a professional ice-hockey player for 7 years and during this time he made history by becoming the first openly out Asian and gay athlete in Europe when he came out as gay during a Danish live tv-show in October 2019. 

Jon is a transracial adoptee from Korea, who was adopted into a Danish family along with his older brother who’s also a transracial adoptee from Korea. 

Since coming out Jon has advocated for more inclusion and acceptance in sports regardless of sexuality, gender identity or expression.

Amazin LeThi
She/her/hers

Amazin LeThi is a global Vietnamese LGBTQ sports and human rights advocate, thought leader and professional speaker. She is a former competitive bodybuilder, entertainment executive and the first Vietnamese internationally published fitness author. She has captured audiences with her story from the United Nations to Google and governments from all around the world.

As a thought leader and LGBTQ advocate, Amazin shares her personal journey of homelessness to becoming one of the most visible and influential LGBTQ activists in the world. Her story was included in the ‘Its Gets Better’ campaign and the first White House Initiative on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders Asian anti-bullying campaign ‘Act To Change. She advisors governments and companies all over the world around LGBTQ equality and most recently was part of the Team Biden campaign as part of their Out For Biden Team: LGBTQ and Asian communication digital advisor.

Theo X
He/him/his

The Danish Artist, Theo X, is no longer what he himself calls – Copenhagen’s “Dirty little secret”. The Success of his first three self-released singles, “Junkie Lover”, “Hey Chico” and “You Don’t Wanna Dance”, saw him perform on Danish national TV and, somewhat surprisingly, in front of the Danish Royal family – a defining moment in the career of a proud out LGBTQ+ artist.

His third single “You Don’t Wanna Dance” was featured in many media outlets all over the world, and GAY TIMES Magazine called his self-directed music video “An Ode to all LGBTQ+ youth around the world”.

Freja Kirk
She/her/hers

The Danish award-winning singer and songwriter Freja Kirk is known for her strong voice both on and off stage. She is an LGBT role model, friend, and inspiring person who never compromises with her art.

Having struggled with several personal battles through her life, from her father’s passing, to the nature of her sexuality, Freja is now finally in a place where she can recognize herself in the music she makes and have fun in the process. 


Gaffa rewarded her album ‘Pussyfied’ (2019) 6 out of 6 stars. They wrote, among other things: Pussyfied is one of the strongest albums from a Danish musician in many years.
