Danske Bank has become a main official partner of Copenhagen 2021 WorldPride and EuroGames, it has been announced.
The bank’s efforts to promote diversity and a diverse staff of employees is seen as a strength and a prerequisite for delivering on their ambition to offer the best customer experiences and become a better bank.
Chris Vogelzang, CEO of Danske Bank, said:
“Pride is about tolerance, inclusion and the right to be who you are, and we want to support and back up those values loud and clear. In Danske Bank, we focus on diversity and inclusion all year round to become an even better workplace for all employees – regardless of who you are, where you come from and whom you love. Diversity and inclusion is not just important for us as individuals but also our business, as being a diverse organisation enables us to attract and retain the competencies we need and generally will make us a better and more successful bank.
“When Copenhagen hosts WorldPride and EuroGames this summer, we all get to mark our support and emphasise that tolerance and equal rights undoubtedly are core values to us and our organisation. I look forward to celebrating the global event with my colleagues and our customers.”
Through the partnership, Danske Bank will participate in the WorldPride Parade in Copenhagen, and have brand visibility across the event in August. Steve Taylor, Director of Communications for Copenhagen 2021, said:
“Copenhagen is not just the setting for WorldPride and EuroGames, it is a key part of the DNA of the event. We will bring to life Danish and Scandinavian values throughout Copenhagen 2021, and that is why it is important that we have major Danish organisations on board. We are delighted to have the support of Danske Bank and we look forward to working with them to bring the DNA of Copenhagen 2021 to life for all their employees and customers”.
