COVID19 restrictions mean that we can’t hold the WorldPride Opening Parade in Malmö or the WorldPride Parade in Copenhagen. But restrictions can’t stop our visibility or our activism, though, and we will still take to the streets in several WorldPride Marches on Saturday 21 August.
There will be six marches, each starting at a different point in Copenhagen, and all meeting at Fælledparken where participants can then enjoy the Copenhagen 2021 Closing Ceremony with live music, speeches and entertainment.
The marches will begin at different times between 1500 and 1600, and the routes are between 2km and 3.7km in length. These timings and routes are designed to ensure that the marches arrive at Fælledparken at different times. Routes will be announced in due course.
Each march will include up to 1,000 participants. Vehicles are not permitted. We will provide music to accompany the march.
Get ready to raise your flag, wave your banner, and raise awareness of issues facing LGBTI+ people here and abroad!
Who can participate?
Registration is now open. LGBTI+ groups and organisations and our partner organisations can register before 1 August. After this date, we will release any remaining spaces for everyone.
March participants who want to attend the Closing Ceremony will show their Coronapas (proof of vaccine, recent negative test, or proof of recovery from COVID19) at the start of the march. They will then be given a wristband that will grant entry to the Closing Ceremony.
These will give you the opportunity to raise your flag, wave your banner, and raise awareness of issues facing LGBTI+ people here and abroad.
