Copenhagen 2021 is proud to welcome customer support software vendor Zendesk as an official sponsor of WorldPride and EuroGames events in August 2021. As the event’s official support and help centre solution, the company is donating customer service solutions and consultancy for the events’ volunteers, participants and guests, as part of the company’s Tech for Good program.
Using Zendesk tools for support and self-service, Copenhagen 2021 support teams will be equipped to manage feedback, incoming requests and extract valuable insights from the customer service platform. In addition to offering licenses for 70 support agents to manage visitor and participant experiences, Zendesk volunteers have helped configure and tailor the software for Copenhagen 2021 needs.
“Using Zendesk will enable our volunteers to better help thousands of visitors and participants coming to WorldPride and EuroGames this year, providing timely and personalised support. The technology also boosts collaboration within our organisation, which is critical in today’s remote world. We also appreciate the continuous support and guidance we received from Zendesk in implementing their solutions,” says Steve Taylor, Director of Communications & Marketing at Copenhagen 2021.
Supporting the LGBTI+ Community around the globe
As a global company with offices around the world, Zendesk is committed to supporting the LGBTI+ community, including organisations such as ShoutOut, TransNew York and the San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus and participating in Pride events across five continents. The company’s Pride Employee Community for LGBTQIA+ employees and allies actively promotes diversity in events, drives change in company policies, creates educational opportunities for colleagues and partners, and is a voice for social justice. In 2021, Zendesk was named one of the Best Places to Work for LGBTQ Equality by Human Rights Campaign.
“At Zendesk, we believe that all employees deserve the opportunity to live authentically and thrive at work. As part of that mission, we want to share our resources and knowledge to support organisations like Copenhagen 2021 that are promoting diversity and inclusion worldwide,” says Jeff Titterton, CMO at Zendesk and executive sponsor of the company’s Pride Employee Community. “As part of our Tech for Good program, we are delighted to be providing Copenhagen 2021 with the skills and resources to provide world-class support for a world-class event. As a company with Danish roots, it’s even more exciting to support such an important event in our ‘hometown’ of Copenhagen, Denmark.”
While the games take place in Copenhagen and Malmö, Zendesk teams will also be celebrating around the world with a series of internal virtual events organised by Zendesk’s Pride Employee Community. The events, running from May to August in the lead up to WorldPride and EuroGames, will focus on education and celebration of the LGBTQIA+ community.
