Our digital plans enabled many more people to participate in Copenhagen 2021 events, helping us to reach people who could not travel to Denmark and Sweden.
Whilst all our events went ahead, the global pandemic has impacted major events on a scale that was unimaginable just a year ago. For Copenhagen 2021 – which was expecting to welcome up to a million people to Copenhagen and Malmö for WorldPride and EuroGames in August 2021 – this required flexibility in our planning and a broadening of our digital delivery to enable participation for as many people as possible, regardless of their physical location.
Our digital plans enabled many more people to participate in Copenhagen 2021 events, helping us to reach people who could not travel to Denmark and Sweden. We ran digital events on a number of platforms including YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram.

In partnership with TunnelBear we offered a 12 month licence for their Virtual Private Network (VPN) to 5,000 human rights activists to enable them to engage in our digital programme safely.
